The Peden Family

First of all, I am so sorry it's taken me 6 months to blog! Who knew having a baby would require so much!?!?! We have had a very eventful 6+ months! Harper is doing great and growing like crazy! Her current milestones including sitting up, lots of laughter, eating some solids (her favorites are peaches & appless) chatting, and there are some teeth that are trying to emerge! So far our sweet Harper has taught us to start every day with a smile-- she is the happiest, most joyful child we have ever known, literally! She is a quiet observer but the instant she sees someone her face lights up with joy!

Harper has had a ton of fun visiting with her friends & family--

Aunt Heidi & Aunt Holly came for a quick visit and I was so glad they came to meet little Harper! Here is a picture of their visit!

The Lozano's came during their spring break and Harper had so much fun playing with Gabby, Jacob, and Christian. We also took her first trip to the Ft. Worth zoo! While the Lozano's were in town Jackie drove up for a visit and we all had a picnic at White Rock Lake! Harper is so loved!

Harper's Grandma Laura has come several times to take care of her and they have enjoyed getting to spend time together! Their favorite things to do are read books & Harper thinks her Grandma is really a funny lady! She is always laughing at her Grandma's antics!

In May Lexi & David came to meet miss Harper, and brought Oliver-- Harper and Oliver are exactly one year apart and it was so neat to see Oliver loving on Harper-- I hope they have a growing friendship as they get older! We went to the arboretum for a picnic with the Balls since the weather was still only mild (now we have 100+ degree days so we are staying inside!) Oliver was so sweet to Harper and he LOVED the kitty cat! We were so glad we could spend time with our Godson! We are looking forward to Harper meeting Madelyn & Jillian in September when we go to Colorado for a visit!

Harper got to meet her second cousin Cristina on her way up to her internship in Oklahoma & then saw her again on her way back after her summer was complete! She had so much fun laughing with her & was so thankful for the winnie-the-pooh blanket Cristina made her!

Harper's Mamaw and Papaw came for a visit for Easter & we enjoyed our time in the neighborhood-- even though Harper was too little to do the neighborhood Easter egg hunt! We went to the arboretum during Dallas blooms and Harper loved looking at all the gorgeous flowers. They also came for a visit over the 4th of July and we had a great time watching the fireworks (although Harper wasn't her typical joyful self because it was so hot outside!). The week before that Harper's Mamaw took care of her and they had such fun spending time together.

A couple of weeks ago Kate's Aunt Judy (Harper will call her Aunt Nana) came for a weekend visit-- it was a relaxing weekend as we are now in the heat of Texas summer so we avoided being outside! Harper was so excited to see the quilt that her Aunt Nana is working on for her-- it is so cute with frogs & an ant from her great aunt!) We cannot wait for Harper to meet her Uncle Hubba since he wasn't able to join Aunt Nana on her Texas trip.

This week my great friend Lucy came to visit and stay for a couple of days-- Harper is having fun playing with her Aunt Lulu who brought her a pink and purple tu-tu which she is fascinated with! They have had a ball! While I was at work Lucy and Harper sent me pictures from their day of fun!
